3 upgrade future-proofs financial systems and processes at roofing and
re-enforcement firm
Foregale, a manufacturer and service provider to the roofing, cladding and re-enforcement industries, has upgraded its financial software to Opera 3 from Pegasus, an award winning supplier of accounting, business and payroll software. The upgrade is ensuring that Foregale has future proofed its finance systems and processes.
Established in 1981, Foregale has a turnover
of £7.5 million and employs 45 people across its three divisions of steel,
roofing and non-ferrous metals.
Foregale has been using Pegasus Opera II
since 2004 having upgraded from a primitive Unix system which still required
many pen and paper based processes. Now every aspect of the Foregale
business runs through Opera 3, from sales to accounts, dispatch notes to credit
notes.
As with most businesses operating in a tough
economic climate, Foregale keeps a tight hand on customer account management.
Thanks to Opera 3’s reporting capabilities, customer reports can be run within
seconds, any irregularities such as delayed payments quickly identified and swift
appropriate action taken as necessary.

within seconds as opposed to days and backups can run automatically over night
without requiring manual intervention. Opera 3 is simple, clean and intuitive
which makes it easy to gather crucial business information in a timely
manner.
“The improved user interface provided by this
latest version means that multiple screens can be open at any one time, making
it easier to switch tasks. Additionally, there is more
flexibility when inputting data into forms, such as a cash book, in Opera 3
which means that content can be more descriptive, thereby reducing the risk of
any confusion from using abbreviated text. Put simply, thanks to Opera 3,
Foregale can operate as an efficient and streamlined business, well placed to
ride out the economic storms both now and in the future.”
Foregale has 15 Opera 3 users and the system
is accessed both by personnel in its head office in Liversedge and remotely by
additional team based in Hull.
The upgrade to Opera 3 was successfully
