Document Management Desktop from Genesis Business Systems

Document Management Desktop is a new application that offers capture and retrieval functionality from Document Management and is available to employees that don’t have access to Opera 3. This enhances the Document Management solution into a company-wide application to help you manage one of your most important assets: paper and electronic information.

Document Management Desktop works directly from your Microsoft Windows desktop. It’s an easy retrieval system of scanned documents and electronic files held in Document Management, as well as an ad-hoc capture system to quickly store electronic files into Document Management.

Sage 50 Accounts 2012


Sage 50 Accounts 2012 is due for release early August and here's a sneak peek at some of the key features and enhancements :

Sage 50 Mobile

Sage 50 Mobile is a great new feature which enables you to access Sage 50 Accounts from your iPhone, Blackberry or other smart phone while you’re out and about enabling you to keep involved wherever you go.

Getting up and running

Sage have improved the experience of installing the Sage 50 Accounts 2012 software. There is a simplified installation wizard, an online registration and activation system and an improved data conversion process.

Chart of Accounts

Sage 50 Accounts 2012 boasts greater efficiency due to being able to create companies based on business types. A user is no longer required to manually create a Chart of Accounts and reports to cater for individual business types. Also, nominal codes are now a fairer reflection of modern businesses, meaning a user is no longer required to manually amend nominal codes for a new company setup. Efficiency gains will also be realised via the preview pane, as a user is no longer required to print a report to check an amended Chart of Accounts.

Quick Search

Efficiency improvements are further demonstrated by using the new Quick Search feature. This reduces the time it takes to find key information in Sage 50 Accounts 2012.

Quick Print

This fantastic new feature allows you to configure a quick print button. This means that one click of a button could print an invoice using a specified layout and have it print on a pre-defined printer.

Support Homepage

Support technicians often ask lots of technical questions – This screen holds all of the answers in one handy place. This makes it easier for you to get answers to your questions quicker than ever before.

Lock Date

In response to customer feedback, Sage have introduced a feature in Sage 50 Accounts 2012 which prevents users from entering posts with dates prior to a certain value. This setting is configurable by high level user logins. This feature ensures that accurate results are displayed on historic reports.

Overall Performance

Sage have devoted a massive amount of resources into improving performance issues in previous versions. The result is a far quicker experience. Instead of retrieving the kitchen sink every time you click GO, Sage 50 Accounts 2012 now only fetches the data from the server which is actually necessary to fill the information required on the screen. Other improvements have been made to reporting speed and prevention of locking files against other network users. These improvements have had a significant impact.
